About Wamunyoro
Where Kenya's Next Chapter Begins.
After the impeachment, Hon. Rigathi Gachagua returned to Wamunyoro, a little-known village, and the name was used to mock him. Wamunyoro reclaims that name. The place the mockers dismissed has become a place from which a generation's future is being written.
Wamunyoro began in early 2025 with a young Kenyan Gen-Z woman and her team. It was shaped by the political awakening that followed the Gen-Z demonstrations, and by the deaths, injuries, arrests and alleged abductions that came with them. Its founders chose to turn that grief and concern into peaceful, constitutional and sustained democratic participation — through the ballot in 2027.
What we do
- Preserve. A secure, searchable archive of the speeches, national pronouncements and policy positions of Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) and, where available, the United Alternative Government — complete, original and permanently addressable.
- Engage. A moderated space where Gen-Z and Kenyans in the diaspora share opinions, ideas, questions and policy proposals.
- Distribute. Every excerpt we share on social media leads back to the full, original record here.
Where we stand
Wamunyoro is not neutral. We openly support Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, the DCP and its alternative agenda for Kenya. We are also independent: we are not an official DCP website, and we keep official material clearly separate from our own analysis and from community voices. Read more about our independence and our editorial standards.
Who we are
At this formative stage, the founders have chosen to keep their identities private. All institutional engagement is conducted through the initiative's Attorney/Advocate.
