Editorial standards
Partisan does not mean inaccurate.
Our support for Hon. Rigathi Gachagua and the DCP never excuses inaccuracy. Every record carries a provenance label telling you exactly who is speaking.
Provenance labels
- Official · DCP — material released by the DCP, verified by two editors.
- Official · UAG — material released by the United Alternative Government, verified by two editors.
- Office of Hon. Gachagua — speeches and statements delivered in public or officially released, verified by two editors.
- Wamunyoro Analysis — our explainers and summaries, always citing the original records.
- Opinion — our commentary, clearly separated from the factual record.
- Community Voice — moderated submissions from Gen-Z and the diaspora.
Verification
We keep original recordings and documents, record a cryptographic checksum (SHA-256) of each original, prefer complete unedited recordings, and mark excerpts as excerpts. Machine transcripts are labelled until an editor has checked them against the recording.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly, note the correction on the record, and log material corrections publicly on our corrections page. Retracted items remain visible with a clear notice.
Community moderation
We welcome opinions, ideas, questions, criticism and disagreement expressed respectfully. We do not publish hate speech or ethnic incitement, incitement to violence, unverified allegations against identifiable people, other people's personal data, fabricated quotes, spam, or anything that identifies a minor.
